LeBanner to win by KO... Jerome LeBanner is arguably the Best K-1 fighter to never win the Grand Prix title. He has made it to the final of the Grand Prix twice (1995 and 2002). The K-1 loves him. He rarely chokes to an inferior opponent and consistently delivers the KO. Unfortunately, the K-1 loves him so much that he wields more political power than other fighters. He lost by decision to Remy Bonjasky and a month later the K-1 declared LeBanner the winner after a very suspicious appeals process. Hong Man Choi of South Korea raised eyebrows too. His win over Sem Schilt was one of the worst decisions in K-1 history and was upheld by the K-1. Choi, if you don't already know, is a 218cm monster. He is a young giant who hits as much with the inside of his forearms as with the gloves. The referees don't mind and the judges in Seoul gave him points for it. When these two meet in the ring, expect Jerome to hurt Choi early and win by KO. Choi's best weapon is his reach advantage. Jerome, however, is a southpaw. He won't try to square up with Choi and will chop the legs hard until Choi comes to him. Choi on the move will be an easy target.
