@Outlook 2007 Glaube Feitosa

I think what I like most about Feitosa is that he proved me right with a prediction. A few years ago, I noticed that despite continuing on a losing streak, Glaube was fighting close fights with some of the best in the world: Aerts, Hug, Hoost, Mirko, etc. On a message board thread titled gMost under-rated fightersh, I offered Glaube as a candidate and got hit with a wave of insults. It feels wonderful to say, gI told you so!h

Brazilian Kick! There I said it. Glaubefs lead leg is used to throw his Brazilian Kick. It is very difficult to read and nearly everyone he fights gets hit with it.

It has taken years, but Feitosa has developed his hands and knees to do damage and create opportunities for his brilliant kicks.

I wonder if we will see Glaube at all in 2007. For those of you who donft know the political situation. K-1 and Kyokushin karate have long had a fragile relationship. Most recently we saw Kyokushin fighterfs, Nick Pettas and Peter Graham, forced to renounce Kyokushin in order to take part in K-1 events. Then the two organizations mended their relationship and the two fighters were excommunicated. Then at the end of 2006, news and rumors suggested that K-1 and Kyokushin were at odds again. Francisco Filho was rumored to have been courted by Pride, a competitor of K-1. Within days of that rumor, Pettas and Graham are announced to be on the K-1 Dynamite show. The latest announcement is that K-1 will host a reality type program to recruit young Japanese fighters. That was a job the K-1 expected Kyokushin to do for them. Now K-1 is doing it for themselves. In short, if my hunches are correct, the divorce will mean that Kyokushin will maintain custody of Glaube and we wonft be able to see him, not even on weekends. There will be a restraining order. Messy divorce indeed!

I hope Ifm wrong about this one. Pitchkounov fighting next week on a K-1 show should mean I am wrong.
