Outlook 2007 Stefan Leko

Time for a bit of a rant.

The K-1 went to the trouble of bringing Stefan to Japan to fight a top tier opponent in front of a huge attending audience and Lekofs crotch busting fouls ruined the fight. Seven years later, Leko did it again. One thing that Sam Greco and Remy Bonjasky have in common is being victims of Lekofs careless repeated low blows. To make matters worse, against Bonjasky, Leko got frustrated with Remyfs tight defense and took a deliberate shot at the back of his opponents head.

It is wonderful to have Stefan Leko back where he belongs in the sport of kickboxing. Ifm willing to dismiss the recent fouls as ring rust after wasting 2 years in Pride. I still donft understand why he didnft just do boxing like Skelton.

Enough negativity. Lekofs stock is going to rise in 2007. He is an all round solid fighter who can get the job done. His wins over Aerts and later over Bernardo and Filho show he is a top tier fighter. His win over Sefo show that matchmakers have to be careful or they could create a dreaded chess match in the ring.

I'd like to see Leko get a big win this year.
